Agriculture and Environment

Mission:
The Group's mission is to help remove administrative, economic and social obstacles that hinder a greater use of biotechnology in agriculture, the food industry and environmental conservation. Since it was set up, it has taken part in several enquiries concerning legal texts and promoted outreach activities concerning plant biotechnology. Besides, the Group participates in the Environment Commission of the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations (CEOE).
Latest activities:
ASEBIO position concerning the draft bill of "Law on Environmental Responsibility" and "Royal Decree on Coexistence." Meetings with the General Director of Environmental Quality and Evaluation and with the Director of University Policies and member of the GMOs Council. Member of CPOMG (Committee on Genetically Modified Organisms) part of the MARM (Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affair)
