Global service aimed to assess toxicology through zebrafish.
Long-term toxicity can be predicted from studies during early life-stages, making zebrafish larvae a suitable model for toxicology screening. ZeClinics initiates every molecule safety study by testing its Acute Toxicity. This assay allows to assess its possible lethality and teratogenicity and provides values of LC50, EC50 and NOEC. To warrant the safety of any given molecule, the NOEC is tested for putative toxic effects on specific tissues known to be affected by novel drugs: Liver (Hepatotoxicity), Heart (Cardiotoxicity) and CNS (Neurotoxicity).
