Unit of International Innovation of ASEBIO ASEBIO sets in motion a Unit of International Innovation (UII) with the CDTI support, with the purpose to promote the participation in the VII Programme Framework and to support in the internationalitation of the R&D from different companies of the Spanish biotech sector. This Unit will permit to attend and to assess in the formation of the consortiums, quality proposals preparation and negotiation with the European Commission to maximize the European financing in R&D projects from the ASEBIO companies. Likewise, this Unit will offer aid to the companies to get the public financing (The MITyC and MEC assemblies, Autonomous Communities or APC + of the CDTI), and to detect new European consortiums in formation process to enlarge the participation possibilities. http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/dc/index.cfm |

Your Biotech Home ASEBIO, with the support of the Foundation for the Science and the Technology (FECYT) and the collaboration of MERCK, AMGEN and FERRER IN CODE, has started a new and innovative initiative for the popularization of the biotechnology: the exhibition "Your Biotech Home". "Your Biotech Home"lets the visitor discover that the biotechnology is already present in our daily life, through a domestic environment where different contributions, products and biotechnological processes that belong to our life can be exhibited. "Your Biotech Home" will be located in different Spanish localities. More than 10.000 people have already enjoyed the exhibition in Madrid in the Museum Cosmocaixa (April 4th to April 12th) and in Salamanca during the First Biotechnology Week (April 20th to April 24th). European Markets and Spain: Strategies of collaboration and technological joint development in biotechnology (Program Eureka) ASEBIO has initiated with the support of the Spanish Technological Industrial Development Center (CDTI) the project "European Markets and Spain: Strategies of collaboration and technological joint development in biotechnology (Program Eureka)" which identifies dialogue strategies and joint business collaboration between the biotechnological companies of several European countries (Switzerland, Germany, Israel, United Kingdom) and Spain. ASEBIO and several European associations and national innovation agencies will stimulate the joint participation in the European R&D space area and more concretely in the Eureka and Eurostars programes. With this purpose, ASEBIO will follow several business meetings, mainly in the International Biotechnology Congress BIOSPAIN 2010 (Pamplona, 29 sept-1 oct) in order to define common interests and collaborative projects. |

Plan of strategic action The Spanish Biotecnology Association, with the support of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain, has developed a plan of strategic action to turn itself into an Innovative Enterprise Group (AEI). The activities done in the past are a diagnosis of the situation of the national and international biotechnological sector and define strategies and plans of action to become an AEI. |

Bio-stimulate: Public Purchase of Biotechnology Innovative Technology ASEBIO with the colaboration of the Foundation COTEC, has started the project Bio-stimulate, whose final aim is elaborating the "White Book on the Public Purchase of Biotechnology Innovative Technology".
