We are looking for a passionate proactive and experienced Fermentation scientist/specialist to join us for developing new alternatives for by-product valorization through fermentation.
- MSc in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related fields with 3+ yeas, or PhD, of active fermentation experience.
- Solid experience with microbial fermentation, including batch, feed-batch and/or continuous processes in bioreactors.
- Experience developing and executing robust fermentation processes to make a variety of biologically derived materials.
- Knowledge and experience regarding bioprocess scale-up and pilot/commercial scale processing and technology transfer to contract manufacturers will be advantageous.
- Experience with a wide rage of microorganisms will be highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and in a team enviroment. Interact as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience in SuperPro Designer will be valuable.
- Availability to travel.
- Experience with team leadership and project management is an advantage.
- Experience in European and National project participation will be valuable.
Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of the Bioprocess team, you will be tasked with:
- Plan, design and execute experiments to develop fermentation process and organize resources to meet the targets set for the project with a minimal supervision.
- Support and monitor the technology transfer of processes.
- Closely work with external collaborator.
- Keep close communication with other areas.
- Other assigned tasks as needed.
