Oniria Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company in the field of precision oncology focused on cancer persistence. Oniria Therapeutics aims to revolutionize cancer treatment by bringing to market the first-in-class drug ONR001, designed for solid and aggressive liquid tumors unresponsive to current treatments, paving the way for novel therapeutic combinations or standalone treatments.

The company was founded in 2021 as a Spin-off of the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), the University of Barcelona (UB) and Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) by Dr. Héctor G. Palmer, Dr. Isabel Puig-Borreil, Dr. Xavier Barril, Dr. Carles Galdeano, Dr. Josep Tabernero and Ms. Esther Riambau. It is supported by national investors and organizations in the healthcare and life science sector. The company is located at the CELLEX CENTER, in the Vall d’Hebron campus. We are seeking a motivated Junior Innovation Manager to join our Business Development team for the development of new agents designed to fight cancer persistence. The candidate will participate in a highly translational project with interactions with academic institutions, industry and clinicians.

It is a great opportunity to gain drug discovery experience participating in the following key tasks:

• Use big data techniques to analyze large volumes of scientific literature, as well as other tasks stipulated within the company's Technology Surveillance Protocol. 

• Develop an online collaborative platform that facilitates interaction between R&D teams, legal teams, and patent management, as well as support in maintaining the company's Trade Secret Inventory. 

• Support in the creation of an interactive digital repository to provide accessible and engaging resources for participants in fairs and congresses, as well as for investors. 

• Support in the implementation of an interactive digital platform where innovation projects can be shared with collaborators and potential clients.

• Support in Grant management and business development tasks.

This position is related to the Investigo grant of which Oniria has been a beneficiary.

Requirements

• Must have:

  • Bachelors degree related to Life Sciences (Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Pharmacy)

  • Be unemployed and registered as a job seeker in the Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya (situació DONO)

  • Be under 30 years old

• Nice to have:

  • Masters or postgraduate qualification in management or business development. Experience developing similar tasks will also be considered.

  • High level of written and spoken English
