Celtarys Research opens a position for a Lab Researcher

Celtarys Research (www.celtarys.com), a newly created startup based in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), which develops and commercializes fluorescence-based innovative chemical tools to improve drug discovery, is looking for a laboratory researcher to enhance its scientific team.

She/he will work under the supervision of our Chief Scientific Officer supporting experimental procedures dealing with chemical synthesis of fluorescent compounds.

We are looking for:

• Graduate in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar.
• Ideally with demonstrable knowledge and experience in organic synthesis, reaction optimization and laboratory tecniques and management.
• Proven research and hands on laboratory experience (academic settings or biotech companies) in some of the following areas will be acknowledged: GPCRs targets and drugs, ligand design and synthesis, combinatorial and parallel optimization, synthesis and photophysical characterization of fluorophores, chromatographic, analytical, and spectroscopic techniques and preparation of samples for biological evaluation.
• Responsible and goal-oriented professional, able to integrate into a team and work in a competitive environment, dealing with multiple projects and client deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
