Job description

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician in Life Sciences to join our interdisciplinary team to develop new agents designed to modulate tumor dormancy to fight cancer progression. The candidate will participate in a highly translational project with interactions with academic institutions, industry and clinicians.

It is a great opportunity to gain drug discovery and development experience and in the following key tasks:

• Execution of in-vitro, ex-vivo and in-vivo efficacy experiments of the selected candidates under the supervision of the Lab Manager and the Research Scientist in Life Sciences of the company.
• Execution of experiments to understand the mechanisms of action of the compounds on the new targets selected.
• Participation in the company's scientific meetings and in the interpretation of data.
• To maintain the equipment and facilities of the biological research laboratory and the Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures.
• To ensure the quality of all the experiments carried out in the biological laboratory.

This position is related to the Investigo grant of which Oniria has been a beneficiary.

Requirements

Must have:

• Higher national diploma (FP2) of Laboratory Technician in Life Sciences.
• Be under 30 years old.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, as well as independent, motivated, and collaborative person.

Nice to have:

•  FELASA animal handling accreditation.
•  Life Science Bachelor or Master in biology, biochemistry, or related discipline.
• 2 years of previous experience with molecular biology techniques & mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry assays.
