Job description

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician in Life Sciences to join our interdisciplinary team to develop new agents designed to modulate tumor dormancy to fight cancer progression. The candidate will participate in a highly translational project with interactions with academic institutions, industry and clinicians.

It is a great opportunity to gain drug discovery and development experience and in the following key tasks:

• Execution of in-vitro, ex-vivo and in-vivo efficacy studies of the selected candidates.
• Experimental development and analysis of results, under the supervision of the Research Scientist in Life Sciences of the company.
• Study or the mechanism of action of the different compounds and validation of the new targets.
• Participation in the company’s scientific meetings.
• Participation in the interpretation of data and in the elaboration of technical and scientific documents (figures and texts for manuscripts and their publication or patent protection and laboratory protocols).

This position is related to the Investigo grant of which Oniria has been a beneficiary.

It is not excluded that the candidate can start the PhD in biomedicine during the Investigo grant period if he/she is not a PhD.
 

Requirements

Must have:

•  Life Science Bachelor degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field.
• Be under 30 years old.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, as well as independent, motivated, and collaborative person.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the drug discovery process/biotech industry.
• FELASA animal handling accreditation.
• Master or PhD in biology, biochemistry, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with biochemistry techniques & mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry assays.
