Patent Attorney for our Life Sciences team
Hoffmann Eitle is a leading international IP law firm with offices in Munich, London, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Milan, Madrid, Amsterdam and Barcelona. The Madrid and Barcelona offices are part of the Spanish subsidiary Hoffmann Eitle S.L.U.
We are looking for a qualified or partly qualified European patent attorney with a background in life sciences to join our team in Barcelona.
Candidate profile:
The candidate should have a strong scientific background in Biomedicine. A degree in Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Biomedicine or similar is required; a PhD and international experience being positively regarded. The candidate should be a qualified or partly qualified European patent attorney with at least 4 years of experience as patent attorney/trainee. The Spanish patent attorney qualification would be an asset.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required, the knowledge of Catalan being a plus.
The ideal candidate must have incredible communication skills and the ability to explain, clarify and simplify complex technical information. He/She should also have an excellent legal and scientific knowledge and display a deep understanding of an invention and its technical aspects with the ability to articulate this information in a clear manner.
