Product Lead

About the job

The core of your role will be to help us accomplish our mission to improve lives by learning from the experience of every patient. You will create, implement and effectively communicate the product strategy, vision and roadmap that allows IOMED to scale and grow our industry leading Real-world Evidence (RWE) business using technology, ML and AI. You will directly oversee the teams responsible for our customer-facing clinical datasets and analytic products, as well as the internal platforms we design to curate, validate and scale these offerings.

About you

We’re looking for a passionate, results oriented, experienced senior product executive to lead product strategy and development of products within our RWE business unit, IOMED’s largest business with significant growth potential. You will serve as the Product Manager and Product Owner for IOMED’s RWE business, and building great products that deliver sustainable value to IOMED and our life sciences partners. In addition, you will also act as IOMED’s product champion across the entire company, working with the C-level to build a robust IOMED-wide product culture, implementing product discipline and mentoring our future product leaders.

Tasks

You will have to feel comfortable giving support to the rest of the team and you can definitely expect to:

• Develop an inspiring RWE product strategy and vision to deliver our next phase of growth and impact for life sciences customers.
• Deeply understand and synthesize customer pain points, needs, opportunities and risks to establish products priorities, roadmap and assess trade offs.
• Clearly communicate the product strategy, vision, and its application and business outcomes with customers and across the organization at all level.
• Work with the technical and sales teams to create a consistent product discipline and best practices across IOMED.
• Define the product development roadmap for existing and new products. 
• Lead the technical team to achieve the product requirements.
• Develop a close relationship with our customers based on providing the best services and developing solutions for their problems.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to implement organization wide product best practices.
• Measure and understand, in an ongoing way, where we are “doing product well” and where we need to adjust.
• Build a strong product culture within IOMED, where product professionals are excited about the product vision and strategy and have opportunities to learn and develop within the product organization.

What we are looking for

• You have 5+ years experience in product management of enterprise technology or data products with 5+ years of VP/Executive level product experience.
• You have deep curiosity about and voracious appetite for learning the ins and outs of data driven drug development and commercialization; real-world data, oncology and/or pharma sector experience is highly desirable.
• You have experience successfully leading a product organization within a growth-stage company, and are able to leverage your experience to build empowered product teams and affect cultural change.
• You have strong team building and leadership skills, with a management style that is collaborative, empathetic, empowering and visionary.
• You have ability to establish credibility with, as well as motivate and mentor, highly accomplished product managers, engineers, and other colleagues.
• You are passionate about creating and leading inclusive and diverse teams, and committed to creating an environment where everyone can bring their full self to work.
• You are results oriented; have the ability to set ambitious goals, remove obstacles and hold yourself and others accountable for achieving challenging results for our customers and business.

What we do 

Nowadays, about 50% of clinical trials are delayed due to slow data collection from patients, which is done manually. As a result, clinical research is highly inefficient in both time and cost, taking years and billions of dollars to develop a new drug.

This problem could be solved through Real-World Data, that is, those contained in electronic medical records (EHRs). But unfortunately, up to 85% of existing clinical data is unstructured.

IOMED has found a solution to this situation, making it possible to fully harness the value of Real-World clinical data. We developed a tool that extracts the necessary data from clinical texts, resulting in a structured, standardized, and interoperable database that contains complete clinical information from hospitals.

In this way, non-reusable information is transformed into data available for Clinical Research, which allows increasing the number of patients that meet the criteria, as well as reducing the total time and manual work dedicated to this task.
