SCIENTIST R+D+I, BIOINTAXIS SL (REF: POSITION-BTX2501)

1. JOB DESCRIPTION:

BIOINTAXIS, SL has an open position for a Scientist to join an ongoing project on “Gene Therapy for Friedreich Ataxia”.

2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

a) PhD degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biomedicine, or similar.

b) Documented experience in two or more: gene therapy, Machine learning, biomarker discovery, omics technologies, cloning of nucleic acids, cell culture, histology, nanopore sequencing, mouse animal models.

c) Work well in team setting.

d) Experience in scientific writing, Data management and Bioinformatic analysis

e) Ability to follow instructions and Autonomy in the laboratory .

f) Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

g) Highly collaborative and strong communication skills.

h) Experience with R or Python programming will be a plus.

i) Previous experience in Biotech especially in generation and validation of SOPs and gene therapy will be positively valued.

3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

a) Functional in vitro and in vivo assays

b) Bioinformatic analysis of omics data

c) Support the development of AI assisted data integration

d) Generate and validate SOPs

e) Support molecular analysis of DNA gene therapy vectors

f) Support on intellectual property protection
