Basque Health Cluster and GSK promote an alliance to strengthen collaboration and innovation in healthcare in the Basque Country
GSK joins the cluster as a Business Partner with a focus on connecting stakeholders, generating knowledge and transforming the healthcare system.
Basque Health Cluster (BHC) and the biopharmaceutical company GSK have formalised a strategic collaboration agreement whereby GSK joins the cluster as a Business Partner, with the aim of strengthening collaborative innovation and actively contributing to the transformation of the Basque Country's health ecosystem.
The alliance is conceived as an open collaboration platform aimed to facilitate connections between the different agents in the healthcare system — industry, care providers, research, public administration and innovation ecosystem — and to promote joint initiatives that respond to current and future challenges in the healthcare sector.
Under this agreement, the collaboration between the two organisations will enable them to leverage complementary capabilities, promote knowledge sharing, identify opportunities for collaboration and foster the development of initiatives with a real impact on the healthcare system and society.
One of the key drivers of this alliance will be the creation of spaces for meeting and strategic reflection aimed at promoting innovation in healthcare in the Basque Country. Through these initiatives, Basque Health Cluster and GSK seek to contribute to trends anticipation, the exchange of high-value knowledge and the development of new dynamics of collaboration between the agents that make up the healthcare ecosystem.
The alliance will also help strengthen the connection between the Basque health industry and broader open innovation networks, encouraging interaction across different profiles, disciplines, and capabilities.
