BBD BioPhenix, S.L.U. (Biobide), a subsidiary of Biotechnology Assets, S.A., has obtained two Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certifications granted by the Spanish National Accreditation Body (ENAC). Specifically, Biobide has been certified to conduct studies in the fields of chemicals and food additives, on the one hand, and plant protection products, on the other.

The scope of these certifications includes the performance of ecotoxicological studies on aquatic organisms, in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework. This recognition represents an important step forward for the company, as it enables Biobide to significantly broaden its service offering and strengthen its activity in highly regulated markets. By obtaining these certifications, the company also increases its capacity to generate GLP studies that may be used for regulatory purposes.

This achievement strengthens Biobide’s positioning as a specialized provider of ecotoxicological testing on aquatic organisms and opens up new collaboration opportunities with companies in sectors such as chemicals, agrochemicals, and ingredients and additives, combining R&D support with higher value-added services aimed at regulatory compliance.
