Bioingenium increase its production capacities with a new Bioprocess plant

Bioingenium is a bioprocess Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Barcelona Science Park with 15 years of experience in expressing recombinant proteins. The company provides tailor-made solutions and strong knowhow of biotechnology for different sectors.

Their core business unit offers design, development and production for biopharmaceutical companies:  bioprocess development from the scratch, the production optimization for biologics like vaccines, antibodies or therapeutical proteins for both human and animal health. 

Two other sectors where Bioingenium has grown significantly over the last years are the cosmetics and food sectors. The company develops and produces new innovative active ingredients for cosmetics, based on natural ferments. For the food sector they offer a secure base for industrial enzymes and alternative proteins, and they can help with the setup for the enzyme/protein production in higher volumes. 

Bioingenium increased 40% of its staff during the last year and has ongoing project to build a new bioprocess plant in Barcelona to increase their production capacities.  CEO, David Resina is very satisfied on the company´s results and foresees a bright future for the biotechnology sector.
