Pedro Martínez Córdoba. Abioinnova is the biosanitary innovation center promoted by Salamanca City Council with the aim of consolidating the city as a national and international benchmark in biotechnology and health. It was born as a strategic commitment to foster knowledge transfer and support the creation of new companies in a high value-added sector.

Pedro Martínez Córdoba. Our objectives focus on driving innovation in the biosanitary field, fostering the creation of qualified jobs, and contributing to the development of a solid business fabric that enhances the competitiveness of Salamanca and its surrounding area in the biotechnology sector.

AseBio. Where is Abioinnova’s infrastructure located and what equipment or services does it offer to biosanitary startups?

Pedro Martínez Córdoba. Abioinnova is located in Salamanca, integrated within the municipal strategy Salamanca Tech. The infrastructure includes state-of-the-art laboratories, collaborative workspaces, and specialized support services for biosanitary startups, providing an optimal environment for research, development, and innovation.

AseBio. What type of projects and areas of specialization does Abioinnova currently host?

Pedro Martínez Córdoba. It currently hosts projects in biotechnology, advanced therapies, diagnostics, personalized medicine, rare diseases, and the design of medical devices through 3D bioprinting.

Pedro Martínez Córdoba.
