DIVERSA Technologies announces the launch of Sphirence, a new technology brand focused on the cosmetic sector and a strategic milestone in the company’s evolution.

With this new business line, DIVERSA translates part of the knowledge developed over more than a decade in nanomedicine and advanced delivery systems into an industry with a direct impact on the daily lives of millions of people.

Sphirence is born as a B2B platform for cosmetic brands, laboratories, formulators and ingredient companies seeking to improve the stability, incorporation and performance of active ingredients in their products. The new brand allows DIVERSA to expand the reach of its technology beyond the biomedical field, opening new commercial opportunities in a growing sector with increasing demand for innovation, efficacy and scientific evidence.

The cosmetic industry is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by increasingly informed consumers and brands that need effective, safe, sustainable and science-backed products. Many companies work with high-value active ingredients, such as vitamins, peptides, enzymes, natural extracts, oils, lipids or sensitive molecules, which may present challenges related to stability, oxidation, solubility or integration into final formulations.

Sphirence aims to help overcome these challenges through modular lipid-based systems designed to protect active ingredients, facilitate their incorporation into advanced cosmetic products and support their penetration and cellular uptake.

“With Sphirence, we take a natural step in the evolution of DIVERSA. For years, we have worked on technologies capable of helping complex molecules overcome technical and biological barriers in the biomedical field. Now we want to put part of that knowledge at the service of an industry closer to the consumer, with enormous potential for innovation and the ability to generate a positive impact on people’s wellbeing,” said Abi Vázquez, Co-founder of DIVERSA Technologies.

The first ingredients and developments built on the Sphirence platform are expected in the second half of 2026.
