BIOSPAIN 2023 brought together the global biotechnology industry in Barcelona and concluded its eleventh edition with record-breaking participation numbers. Over 2,100 attendees and more than 220 exhibitors gathered over the course of the three-day conference.
BIOSPAIN 2023 held its 11th edition at Fira de Barcelona, Montjuïc, over three consecutive congress days from September 26th to 28th.
On September 25th, the welcome social event for sponsors and investors took place at the Royal Palace of Pedralbes in Barcelona, sponsored by Ysios Capital. Among the welcoming committee were Mrs. Ana Polanco, President of AseBio; Dr. Robert Fabregat Fuentes, General Director of Biocat; Mr. Guillem Laporta, Partner at Ysios Capital; and Mr. Ion Arocena Vélez, General Director of AseBio.

The first day of the congress concluded with the Welcome Reception held at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), featuring the traditional Catalan castells performance.

Gonzalo de Miquel from AstraZeneca R&D Barcelona Hub presented the Keynote Session "Advancing Science."
For the closing of BIOSPAIN, the President of the Government of Catalonia, Honorable Mr. Pere Aragonès i García, and Fina Lladós Canela, a member of the Board of Directors of AseBio, were in attendance.

BIOSPAIN came to Barcelona at a "key" moment for Catalonia, as it has served to boost the development of the healthcare sector in the region and consolidate it as one of the main hubs in the field of biotechnology in Europe.
