#NewAseBioMember | "AseBio provides a wealth of information on trends and advancements in the sector, which will enable us to be agile in seizing opportunities"
Meet SIMBIONTE, our new member. We spoke with Manuel Esbrí Ramos, co-founder.
AseBio. What does your company's work bring to the table and what is its strength?
Manuel Esbrí Ramos. In Spain, there are around 800 small and medium-sized biotechnology companies. However, there is no leading digital agency for this segment. This is because current alternatives, such as freelancers or health agencies, fail to offer a service that combines scientific knowledge, digital skills, and agility at reasonable prices. At Simbionte, we help biotech companies increase their online visibility and become recognized as leaders in their niche by investors, clients, and suppliers. We create content plans for digital platforms while maintaining scientific rigor, requiring less than 4 hours of dedication from the client.
AseBio. What is AseBio for you?
Manuel Esbrí Ramos. We recognize AseBio as a key ally in connecting us with the biotech community in Spain. Through their network, we can identify collaboration and growth opportunities, allowing us to contribute value to the development of the sector from Simbionte. Having direct access to founders, researchers, and national leaders not only inspires us but also helps us continually refine our value proposition, ensuring that our solutions are aligned with real needs and market trends. If biotechnology wins, we all win.
AseBio. When did you first hear about AseBio?
Manuel Esbrí Ramos. I met Ion, the director of AseBio, on the editorial committee of a specialized industry magazine that was launched 4 or 5 years ago. Since then, I’ve been closely following AseBio’s activities. Now that Simbionte is more established, it makes sense to start making some noise, in a good way, within the association.
AseBio. What do you expect from being part of an association like AseBio?
Manuel Esbrí Ramos. Being part of AseBio is a great opportunity for both me and Simbionte. We look forward to strengthening our network within the sector and getting to know companies that share our goals and challenges. Additionally, I’ve seen that AseBio offers a wealth of information on industry trends and advancements, which will allow us to stay agile in capturing opportunities. We want to position ourselves as a digital reference for biotech companies, helping to make their innovation more visible and accessible to the world. This is the place to be.
AseBio. What is the biggest challenge facing the biotech sector or your company?
Manuel Esbrí Ramos. One of the biggest challenges in our sector is communicating complex scientific concepts in a clear and understandable way. Companies need their value proposition to be grasped by a diverse audience, from clients to investors and collaborators. At Simbionte, we focus on helping biotech SMEs professionalize their brand image and increase their online visibility without losing scientific rigor, and we aspire to be the go-to agency for these companies.
