AseBio. What does your company's work bring to the table and what is its strength?

Andrea Zapater. At Paralab Bio, we promote innovation and the use of biotechnology in industries such as biomedicine, pharmaceuticals, regenerative medicine, materials, and the agro-food industry. We offer advanced technological solutions that facilitate the development of new products and applications, bringing significant value to the scientific and business community thanks to our scientific and technical expertise in the sector.

Andrea Zapater. For Paralab Bio, AseBio represents an essential platform for collaboration, networking and growth in the biotechnology sector. Being part of AseBio allows Paralab Bio to actively contribute to the development and competitiveness of the Spanish biotechnology sector, sharing knowledge and experiences with other members of the association, as well as establishing strategic alliances and collaborations with other leading companies and institutions.

AseBio. When did you first hear about AseBio?

Andrea Zapater. We first became aware of AseBio when we began exploring key partnerships in the biotech sector to expand our network and collaborate with other leading companies. AseBio’s reputation as an organization that promotes innovation and competitiveness in biotechnology immediately caught our attention, highlighting its key role in driving the sector in Spain.

AseBio. What do you expect from being part of an association like AseBio?

Andrea Zapater. By joining AseBio, we hope to establish strategic alliances and collaborations with leading biotechnology companies and institutions, fostering the exchange of knowledge and resources, as well as increasing our visibility at a national level, highlighting our commitment to quality and innovation.

AseBio. What is the biggest challenge facing the biotech sector (or your company)?

Andrea Zapater. The biggest challenge for the biotech sector, and for Paralab Bio, is to stay at the forefront of innovation in a highly competitive and constantly evolving environment. This involves coping with rapid technological advancement, navigating a complex regulatory landscape, securing sufficient funding for R&D projects, attracting and retaining highly skilled talent, and fostering effective collaboration between industry, academia, and research centers. Overcoming these challenges is crucial to driving scientific progress and maintaining a competitive position in the global marketplace.
