Kadans Science Partner (“Kadans”) announces the start of the refurbishment of the Clesa Innovation Centre, an ambitious initiative that will transform the historic Clesa factory in Fuencarral into a leading hub for research, innovation and business collaboration in the life sciences. Kadans, accompanied by Javier Hernández, Director General of Planning for Madrid City Council, and various leaders in life sciences research, officially presented the space.

The project to renovate the historic Clesa factory has already been licensed and will begin this autumn. It involves a comprehensive rehabilitation of the iconic industrial complex, which will be renamed the Clesa Innovation Centre, a multidisciplinary 18,000 m2 space dedicated to R&D&I that will integrate state-of-the-art laboratories, clean rooms, offices and knowledge exchange areas.

The Clesa Innovation Centre will be a future hub for biomedical innovation in the capital. It is surrounded by leading institutions such as the La Paz and Ramón y Cajal public hospitals, the City of Health project with the Autonomous University of Madrid and the CNIO (National Cancer Research Centre).

Kadans, the developer behind the initiative, aims to turn the Clesa Innovation Centrer into a meeting point for the scientific and business communities. During its official presentation, Madrid City Council authorities and leading experts in medicine, technology, bio-agriculture and artificial intelligence highlighted the complex's potential as a platform for knowledge exchange
