The president of Extremadura, María Guardiola, visits Natac's factory in Hervás
The head of the Government of Extremadura has been able to check the progress of the Sustainext project, a European initiative led by Natac that will transform this production center into the most efficient, sustainable and innovative biofactory of plant extracts in the world.
Natac (BME: NAT), a biotechnology company specialized in the sustainable production of botanical extracts and functional oils with proven health benefits, has been visited by the President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, María Guardiola, at its factory in Hervás (Cáceres).
Accompanied by the company's CEO, Antonio Delgado, and several local, national and European authorities, the president toured the facilities and was able to check the progress of the Sustainext project, a European initiative led by Natac that will transform this production center into the most efficient, sustainable and innovative biofactory of plant extracts in the world.
As highlighted by Delgado during his speech, “the expansion of these facilities is a tangible sign of our commitment to this land; of our commitment to create opportunities, to promote rural employment and, ultimately, to contribute to the economic progress of a region that, like so many others in Europe, needs projects that bring stability and hope”.
Today, with more than a third of the project completed, Sustainext is already transforming the industry, promoting a model that can be replicated in other regions of Europe and contributing to a sustainable circular bioindustry, in line with the objectives of the European Green Pact.
