ProtoQSAR strengthens its environmental commitment at SETAC Europe 2025
ProtoQSAR continues to expand its role in the global scientific community through its active participation in SETAC Europe 2025, held in Vienna from May 11 to 15. As one of the leading events in environmental toxicology and chemical risk assessment, the congress provided an ideal platform for the company to present its latest innovations, foster strategic connections, and reaffirm its commitment to sustainable chemical evaluation.
ProtoQSAR continues to consolidate its presence in the international scientific community through its participation in SETAC Europe 2025, held in Vienna from May 11 to 15. This annual congress, organized by the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), brings together members of the scientific community specialized in ecotoxicology, chemical risk assessment, and environmental sustainability. SETAC is committed to advancing environmental science and evidence-based decision-making by promoting collaboration, education, communication, and leadership.
At this year’s congress, ProtoQSAR hosted its own exhibition stand, which served as a meeting point to showcase the company’s latest developments and connect with professionals and institutions from across Europe. Simón Perera (Business Development Manager), Vicente Aranda (Junior Researcher) and Eduardo Cubells (Business Development Technician) attended the event, participated in scientific sessions, presented recent research findings and explored new opportunities for collaboration.
The thematic focus of SETAC, assessing the environmental impact of chemical substances, closely aligns with one of ProtoQSAR’s main areas of work: the prediction of ecotoxicological properties. This focus is reflected in ProtoECO, a module within the ProtoPRED platform designed to support risk assessment efficiently and reliably through internally developed computational models. This connection highlights how ProtoQSAR’s work responds to the challenges addressed at events like SETAC, offering technological solutions that contribute to safer and more sustainable chemical evaluation.
Participation in SETAC Europe 2025 reinforces ProtoQSAR’s international visibility and its involvement within the scientific community working toward more responsible chemical safety. Events like these foster knowledge exchange, strengthen synergies and support continued progress toward a more collaborative and innovative future.
