Talking Science in Summer: Bionet is making bioprocessing easier to understand
Bioprocessing is full of complex terms and concepts that can be difficult to digest. This summer, Bionet launched Talking Science in Summer: a series of short comics that break down key ideas into clear, visual stories. The goal is to give anyone working in or around biotechnology an easier way to understand and explain the science behind the processes.
Each episode of “Talking Science in Summer” focuses on a fundamental concept in bioprocessing and explains it in an accessible, engaging way. The series is designed for researchers, students, and professionals who want quick, memorable insights they can apply in their daily work or share with colleagues.
You can find comics about how mixing types differ inside a bioreactor, what happens when PID control keeps parameters steady, the way anaerobic processes unfold, why active cooling becomes crucial in high-density cultures, the main principle of TFF, and even the challenge of balancing advanced bioreactor features with the reality of limited budgets.
By turning these technical topics into simple stories, Bionet makes it easier to build understanding, spark discussion, and explain biotechnology beyond the lab. With this initiative, Bionet highlights how science communication can be both accurate and accessible to a wider audience.
