ICEX Spain Pavilion call for applications open until June 30.

BIOJAPAN

ICEX Spain Trade and Investment is organizing a Spain Pavilion at BIOJAPAN 2026, which will take place at Pacifico Yokohama from October 7 to 9, 2026.

BIOJAPAN 2026 is a key meeting point for the biotechnology industry, bringing together more than 18,000 professionals and 1,000 companies, research centers, and international institutions each year. In addition, BIOJAPAN is held alongside two other major events in the biotech sector, expanding business opportunities and the number of potential visitors:

  • Regenerative Medicine Japan, focused on accelerating and industrializing R&D in the field of regenerative medicine and iPS cells.
  • Health Tech Japan, dedicated to digital health.

For over two decades, BIOJAPAN has established itself as an essential platform for fostering interaction between Japanese and international companies and institutions. The event offers participants access to high-value scientific and commercial information, opportunities to establish strategic partnerships, secure funding for their projects, and attract new clients.

The event program is broad and diverse, including academic activities, networking sessions, individual company presentations, an exhibition area, as well as seminars and conferences addressing the latest trends in biotechnology and technological and scientific innovation. In addition, the event features an innovative partnering system that takes place throughout the fair.

Participants in the fair will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Partnering Pass: Registration on the partnering platform to schedule one-to-one meetings, both in the designated fair area and at the Spain Pavilion.
  • Translation and Interpretation Support: Assistance during meetings held at the Spain Pavilion (subject to availability among participating companies).
  • Support from the Trade Office (Ofecomes): Assistance in preparing meeting agendas, with the option to send materials and request support in arranging meetings even if not attending in person.
  • Pitch Seminar on Main Stages: An exclusive space at the fair where participating companies present their projects in a 5-minute pitch. A unique opportunity to showcase ideas, connect with clients, partners, and investors, and generate new business opportunities.
  • Promotion and Communication: Promotion of Spanish participation at the fair and inclusion in the catalog of participating companies. In addition, a microsite will be available within the event website with direct links to Spanish companies.
  • Pre-Event Training Webinar: A preparatory session prior to the fair, offering guidance on Japanese culture and customs to facilitate the closing of business deals.

The registration deadline is June 30, 2026 (at 14:00).
