What are the latest innovations of biotechnology for the cosmetic industry? How can these innovations be transferred successfully? And why should researchers think about technology transfer from the laboratory from an early stage? These and other questions will be discussed between the coordinators of three European projects in this online event.

Speakers

  • Daniel López, coordinator of the European project Rafts4Biotech. This project is using engineered bacteria  to produce different industry-oriented compounds in specific lipid rafts.
  • Mariana Doria, coordinator of the European project MULTI-STR3AM. This team is analysing the potential of microalgae to produce many compounds of commercial interest.
  • John Morrisey, coordinator of the European project CHASSY. This project is investigating how different species of yeast can function as cell factories for valuable compounds.

Moderator

  • Begoña Ruiz Fuertes, head of the Biotechnology Department at the technological centre AINIA.
