Expoquimia BIO
With an expected participation of more than 300 exhibitors, Expoquimia 2020 will bring together a broad cross-section of the Spanish chemical sector
Fira de Barcelona has decided to postpone until December the 19th edition of Expoquimia, the International Chemistry Event, which was originally scheduled for June. Thus, Expoquimia will take place from the 14th to the 17th of September of 2021, simultaneously with Equiplast, the International Plastics and Rubber Event, and Eurosurfas, the International Surface Treatment Event.
The decision has been made in view of the current situation generated by COVID-19 with the aim of holding a major event in an environment that is expected to be more propitious.
In this regard, the president of the event, Carles Navarro, has highlighted the majority support of the main players in this industry, as well as the importance of maintaining the event, which lay greater emphasis on its role as a congress, "in this year's international fair calendar".
With an expected participation of more than 300 exhibitors, Expoquimia 2021 will bring together a broad cross-section of the Spanish chemical sector, one of the most dynamic and productive in the Spanish economy. The event will thus present, with the collaboration of the FEIQUE (Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry), the sector's contribution to the 2030 Agenda and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals in the Smart Chemistry Smart Future space.
The joint celebration of Expoquimia, Equiplast and Eurosurfas configures the leading trade fair platform for applied chemistry in southern Europe, where all the initiatives that point to future trends in three sectors that are fundamental for socio-economic development are presented.
