#ForAseBioMembers | Meeting with international media
"Between war and pandemic: How Spanish biotech could answer to our biggest crisis as a society" is the name of the meeting organised by AseBio with its partners and international sectoral media to raise awareness of Spanish biotechnology beyond our borders, which has taken a leap forward in the last two years.
Our main objective is to raise awareness of the work of our partners and Spanish biotechnology beyond our borders and to establish a close link with the international sectoral media, giving a face and a voice to the main actors in biotechnology in order to improve the communication of our industry on an international scale.
Why it is interesting if you are a partner
Researchers and entrepreneurs, just as they had to learn the vocabulary of their field, also must learn how to communicate their work, and make it known by adapting formats and messages. This meeting will allow partners to understand the needs of an international media specialised in biotechnology and to bring their stories closer to society and in another language.
Why it is interesting if you are an international media
In the same way, an international sectoral media can better understand the concerns, research and challenges of the industry. This meeting will allow you to have direct access to the major players in Spanish biotechnology who will be able to answer your questions and discuss with them the challenges of communicating the biotechnology sector to society at a time of two global crises.
What is the focus
Health, food and energy are the axes that respond to people's main needs. Spain is a world power in clinical trials (2nd) and in agri-food, Spain is the eighth world power, and this sector accounts for 10% of our GDP.
In two years, we have experienced two extreme situations: a pandemic and a war; both have put the world on edge and biotechnology has the capacity to provide answers with concrete solutions. What is Spain doing in biotechnology that does not exist in other countries to solve the main challenges we face as a society? What can we contribute to Europe?
