Nanodecal, a biotechnology company dedicated to developing rapid tests for precision respiratory medicine, is excited to announce the launch of a new funding round to further the development of their first product.

Nanodecal's funding round aims to raise €600,000 to support the development of a rapid test for detecting respiratory superbugs in chronic respiratory patients. These superbugs are often difficult to detect with current diagnostic methods, leading to delays in crucial antibiotic treatments that allow the superbugs to establish long-term infections in the patients' lungs. Nanodecal solves this issue with a rapid test that detects the superbug in under 10 minutes. This groundbreaking advancement enables personalized antibiotic treatment at an early stage, helping prevent the establishment of permanent infections.

Roberto de la Rica, CEO of Nanodecal, enthusiastically remarked about the new funding round, saying, "We are excited to begin this funding journey, which will empower us to fast-track test production, expand our team of experts, and hasten the delivery of groundbreaking solutions to those in need. We find ourselves at a pivotal stage of innovation, and this funding round will play a crucial role in helping us bring our solutions to the market promptly and start making a positive impact on patients.”

The funds raised during this round will primarily be allocated to:

  • Attracting and retaining top talent in the fields of business and product development.
  • Scaling up production and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Exploring strategic partnerships and collaborations to further enhance the impact of our work.

Nanodecal has already achieved significant milestones, including the establishment of a pilot factory in Barcelona, the recruitment of a dedicated team, and the successful validation of the rapid test with patient samples. This funding round will enable the growth required to become a frontrunner in the in vitro diagnostics industry.
