AseBio. What does your company's work bring to the table and what is its strength?

Helena García. BioPredX transforms expert know-how of protein design and genetic variant interpretation into automatic, simple and accessible software so that any user can operate it without any prior advanced knowledge required. Our main strength is the wide experience of our team and the user-friendliness of our software, available in Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms so that the team’s expert knowledge can be conveyed to anyone all over the world.

AseBio. What is AseBio for you?

Helena García. AseBio is a network that boosts the development of Spanish biotech and its companies, fostering collaboration between members and opening the door to new opportunities.

AseBio. When did you first hear about AseBio?

Helena García. When I still was a Biotech student. Together with some fellow students, we created the Biotechnology Association of Aragón (Asbar), part of FEBiotec, and the collaboration with AseBio and its commitment to young biotech was frequent.

AseBio. What do you expect from being part of an association like AseBio?

Helena García. Building synergies with fellow partners for mutual company growth and development so we can give back to society innovative products that improve the quality of life and health of all people, in a manner that is efficient, environmentally friendly, and wise in the use of natural resources.

AseBio. What is the biggest challenge facing the biotech sector or your company?

Helena García. The biggest challenge we are facing as a society is improving our welfare and life conditions with a growing world population and climatic change. Biotechnology plays a key role in this process, not only improving food production and adaptability, but also improving collective health. This must be done in the most efficient manner, making the most of the available resources and information, taking care of our planet. Addressing this challenge is an integral aspect of our philosophy.
