Galicia Biodays, the European Atlantic Area meeting point for life sciences and biotechnology
The reference forum of the biotechnology and life sciences industry in the European Atlantic Area celebrates its second edition in Vigo on June 12-13.
Galicia Biodays is the reference forum of the biotechnology and life sciences industry in the European Atlantic Area and celebrates its second edition in Vigo on June 12-13. It is also a meeting point for internationally renowned bioregions in the field of biotechnology and life sciences. During the forum, several activities will allow the participants to exchange best practices and to establish collaborations and synergies with stakeholders and leading entities from the guest bioregions.
Particularly, the following activities will be dedicated specifically to our guest bioregions:
A round table on Wednesday 12, in which a representative of Japan, Belgium, India and Italy will participate in a discussion about initiatives to facilitate the international collaboration and how this can increase the competitiveness of their ecosystems.
A pitch session, called BioInternational Insights, celebrated on Thursday 13, in which representatives from France, Portugal, India, Italy, United Kingdom, Japan, Canada and Morocco will introduce the life sciences ecosystem on their bioregion and the importance of their entities to enhance the competitiveness of the sector and to dynamise the agents operating on it.
Additionally, Bioga will organise a 2-day business trip, the Galicia BioBusiness Tour, the days prior to the event (10-11 June) to visit the biotechnology and life sciences ecosystems of the areas of Santiago de Compostela and Vigo - O Porriño, respectively, two of the main innovation poles of Galicia. So far, more than 20 participants from 10 countries are confirmed at the Tour. Also, more than 20 companies from the Galician Life Sciences ecosystem will showcase their capacities to the participants of the Tour and engage in the networking activities planned for both days.
