IDiBE obtains the renewal of its Scientific Unit for Business Innovation by IVACE+I
The project of the Institute for Research, Development and Innovation in Health Biotechnology of Elche (IDiBE) of the Miguel Hernández University, with a budget of 206,131.88 euros, will boost the activities of the Institute's Innovation Office, enhancing its capacity to generate and transfer advanced biotechnological solutions.
The project, entitled ‘Strategic Office for Research And Innovation in Life and Applied Biotechnology’ (INNVA2/2024/3) has been awarded in line 2, Strengthening of scientific units for technology development and dissemination of knowledge to the company (UCIE), of the call for Valorisation and Transfer of Research Results to Companies of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE+I).
The project had a budget of 206,131.88 euros and has received 90% funding, which will allow IDiBE to continue developing its work of knowledge transfer to the productive fabric, having submitted more than 35 patent applications and founded eleven spin-offs in its two decades of history.
The objectives of the project include the consolidation of the institute's technological platforms to provide services to other research centres and companies, the submission of new patent applications and their licensing, as well as the generation of joint projects with companies both nationally and internationally.
Only five proposals have received funding, which is why this award represents an important boost for the work carried out by IDiBE, an institute that is currently immersed in the process of achieving the María de Maeztu seal of approval for research centres of excellence. With this project, IDiBE reinforces its commitment to innovation and scientific progress for the benefit of society.
