Innovation in biotechnology requires environments capable of connecting talent, research, and industry. With this vision in mind, BIO4 Campus was launched—an ambitious project that is transforming Belgrade into a European leader in biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and biodiversity.

As part of this initiative, TECNALIA is conducting a study to define and implement the R&D&I strategy for BIO4 Campus. This project represents an opportunity for Spanish companies in the biotech, medtech, foodtech, and other life sciences-related sectors that wish to expand their international presence and explore new avenues for collaboration and innovation in Southeast Europe.

TECNALIA is making a portfolio of specialised, funded B2B services available to companies until February 2027, with the aim of facilitating their access to the Serbian market. These services include identifying business opportunities, connecting companies with potential local partners, providing support during strategic meetings and offering on-the-ground assistance to ensure a gradual and secure entry into the country.

TECNALIA's capacity to provide this support is underpinned by 18 years of continuous activity in Serbia, during which it has developed an in-depth understanding of the local business ecosystem and established an extensive network of relationships with institutions, companies and key stakeholders in the country.

Furthermore, through the study it is conducting for BIO4 Campus, funded under the study programme of the Fund for the Internationalisation of Enterprises (FIEM) of the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business, TECNALIA has gained detailed knowledge of the technological needs, equipment, materials and supplies required for the development of the project, as well as of the organisations that will form part of this new innovation hub.

All these factors make TECNALIA a strategic gateway for Spanish companies seeking to enter the Serbian market and establish a presence in one of Europe's emerging life sciences ecosystems with the greatest growth potential.
