AseBio. What does your company's work bring to the table and what is its strength?

Lola de Toro. The ceiA3 is an International Campus of Excellence in Agri-Food that comprises five universities specializing in agri-food, whose strength lies in the potential for research and innovation as well as training at our five universities. In this way, the fundamental contribution of the ceiA3 is its link with the sector, stimulating innovation ecosystems and promoting specialization in the subject.

AseBio. What is AseBio for you?

Lola de Toro.  AseBio represents a great opportunity to be an integral part of a platform that is aligned with our strategy, focused on the circular bioeconomy.

AseBio. When did you first hear about AseBio?

Lola de Toro. The ceiA3 and AseBio joined forces within the framework of the Bloom European project, which aimed to raise societal awareness of the importance of the bioeconomy. The ceiA3 participated as a partner, while AseBio was invited to collaborate.

AseBio. What do you expect from being part of an association like AseBio?

Lola de Toro. We hope to establish collaborative relationships with the members of the platform to promote our connections. Our aim is to raise awareness of projects carried out by the ceiA3, particularly those related to the bioeconomy, and to participate in their activities.

AseBio. What is the biggest challenge facing the biotech sector or your company?

Lola de Toro. The greatest challenge facing the ceiA3 is to make our full agri-food potential available to the sector, boost innovation ecosystems, and become an international benchmark.
