Arquea is a biotechnology spin-off whose core mission is to protect Public Health through the early detection of biological threats. The company develops innovative molecular diagnostic solutions for the agri-food and water industries, with the strategic objective of becoming the European leader in food safety and quality over the next decade. Its value proposition aims to democratize high-precision testing by providing companies with full autonomy in managing their safety processes through fast, simple, and affordable self-monitoring systems.

Products and services

Its main solution is an integrated pathogen detection system (Arquea Kit) built on three pillars:

1. Hardware: A portable, autonomous, and patented optical detection device designed for on-site analysis directly on the production line.

2. Consumables: Proprietary enzymatic biochemical reagents (AMP-LAMP® technology) that deliver results in under 60 minutes, without the need for enrichment, and with the capability to differentiate between live and dead cells.

3. Digital Platform: A cloud-based software platform with integrated AI that ensures full traceability, digitalizes the process, and automates decision-making.

The system currently detects Listeria, with Salmonella and Legionella in advanced stages of development.

Areas of interest for future collaborations

Arquea is seeking strategic industrial partners to undertake its scaling and international expansion phase, with a priority focus on Germany, France, and Italy. Its areas of interest include:

• Distribution and Commercialization: Partnerships with specialized agents in the agri-food and water sectors under an indirect sales model.

• R&D and Validation: Scientific collaborations to expand the pathogen portfolio into human health, veterinary applications, and water analysis.

• Biotechnological Innovation: Alliances for the development of enhanced enzymes and new hardware with simultaneous detection capabilities (multiplexing).

• Advisory: Incorporation of scientific and business experts from strategic partners.
